Low light, high emotions. @thekitcheners captured this beautiful razor-sharp image in challenging lighting conditions as the #goldenhour ended. To get this shot, the wedding photographers hiked to the top of a Spanish mountain to shoot this intense photograph that reflects the powerful connection between the couple: Elizabeth & Robin, on their wedding day in Spain. The mirrorless Nikon Z 6 was the latest addition to their kit bag, which included their trusted #Nikon D750, the FTZ Adaptor to mount their AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G. Follow #PursuitOfLight to be inspired by the amazing experimentation of light in photography from some of Europe’s most talented wedding photographers. #WeddingPhotography #Mirrorless #NIKKORZ #NIKKOR
Finding light on the darkest of days – the skill of a wedding photographer is being able to use their equipment to work with the light, even when there’s barely any available. We challenged some of Europe’s most inspiring wedding photographers to use the Nikon Z 7, Nikon Z 6 and NIKKOR Z lenses, to demonstrate their own #PursuitOfLight From the depths of the Scottish Highlands, this dramatic photo was taken by @thekitcheners who put the Nikon Z 6 and the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8S to the test in the most extreme of conditions. "It's quite challenging to take photos of bees, especially since they are never still." Hear why Mia Karlsvärd, photographer & editor-in-chief of the Swedish Bee Magazine, uses the Nikon #D850 in her work.
This image was shot with long exposure during the spectacular fireworks display at the house. "This Z 7 is a treasure and as a Nikon user for 37 years it compliments all that have gone before." - @jonnicholsonphotos Taken on the Nikon Z 7 and Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S
Long-time Nikon photographer Jon Nicholson captured these great images during the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019. "The Nikon Z 7 is fast becoming the go to camera for me. This camera is small, light and delivers results every time. The essence of photography is not to be bogged down with too much gear but use something that will record what I see." - @jonnicholsonphotos Taken on the Nikon Z 7 and Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S
As well as being a wildlife and entertainment photographer, Conor is also a WWF Ambassador - and he's definitely in his element here. "I always love seeing my photos in print and these covers are no exception!" - @conormcdphoto Taken on the Nikon D850.
"It was a surreal moment when I boarded a flight a few days ago and on every seat in the airplane was my work! I hadn’t realised the cover was out yet so it took me by surprise!" - @conormcdphoto Taken on the Nikon D850.
Photographing stadium shows can be a real challenge without the right gear, and Andrew @timmsy offers good advice to bring a range of lenses. "One minute they could be right in front of you filling the frame at 14mm, and then the next be at the back of the main stage where you would need a 300mm to get anything tight." Captured on the Nikon D5 and NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8
"The most rewarding [part of photographing the @spicegirls ] has to be the set of pictures I’ve come away with now the tour is over. Being able to document something as big as this from start to finish, rehearsals to the girls coming offstage, and getting into their cars on the final night at Wembley was such a huge thing for me, a real privilege. The most challenging part was probably the late nights editing, especially when there were back to back show days. But that’s just part of the job so you just get on with it!" - @timmsy Captured with the Nikon D5 and NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8
A few months ago Nikon photographer Andrew Timms @timmsy was offered the chance to be the official photographer for the @spicegirls 2019 reunion tour! "It was amazing to be asked and I felt really privileged but it didn’t really sink in until I was in Dublin - standing in the pit waiting for the girls to come up on the lift for that first big reveal to a packed out Croke Park stadium. I can’t remember the last time I got nervous at a job but I did feel it then. I shot rehearsals for a good few weeks before this night too but just something about the first night was when it really hit me and I was like wow this is happening, don’t mess it up now!" - @timmsy Captured with the Nikon D5 and NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8
Photographing wild animals is not only a challenge in itself but it's also very important to keep your distance to not disturb them. Using the NIKKOR lens 200-400mm f/4 makes that possible without compromising on quality. "The Svalbard reindeer is the northernmost herbivore in the world. I find it truly amazing how they have adapted to the harsh conditions up there." - @linakayser Captured with Nikon D750 and NIKKOR 200-400mm f4
"The landscape of Svalbard is really spectacular with rugged mountains, towering peaks and endless glaciers. With the midnight sun shining it can be hard to go to sleep. This photo was captured standing outside on deck at midnight, with Nikon D850 and NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8" - @linakayser
A few weeks ago our Nikon Photographer @linakayser arranged an incredible photography workshop in the magical surroundings of Svalbard. "We met this beautiful female walrus close to a glacier in the south of Svalbard. We were actually going out to photograph the glacier, but I’m glad I had my NIKKOR 180-400mm with me to capture these shots" - @linakayser Captured with Nikon Z 7, FTZ adapter and Nikkor 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4.
"Twins are a symbolic figure in many different places around the world, but nowhere more so than Nigeria" - @benedicte_kurzen and @sanne_de_wilde The rainy season's dramatic skies help frame this image of twin boys in #IgboOra , #Nigeria , which forms part of a new image series documenting the complexities of #twinhood in #Nigeria #Nikon #NIKKOR #NikonSpecialProject #NikonProEurope #photography #photojournalism #portraits #NOOR #Africa @noorimages
Did you know that the rate of twin births in West Africa is about four times higher than in the rest of the world? In response to this, binary beliefs and practices - from celebration to devotion to demonization - have evolved across #Nigeria @benedicte_kurzen and @sanne_de_wilde 's #NikonAmbassador #project takes a closer look at the complex mythology underpinning the country's often misunderstood history. “One good example of the versatility of the D850 is when I did a shoot in a mine where we were filming and taking pictures in very dark conditions and when we came out there was a sunset that we decided to use in the shoot as well.” Hear why Dan Boman, inhouse photographer at Scania, uses the #D850 in his work.
"There were so many great photos in this contest, and it sure was difficult to choose a winner but big congratulations to @helsethphotography !, says @stiannorum First of all, I want to say congrats on such a beautiful moment and photography. I’m feeling such a unique connection when looking at this arctic fox. I really like how the smooth foreground makes a great depth into this photo and it adds something extra into it.
